Title: This is for Jimbo
Post by: Hawks Feather on February 27, 2013, 07:36:24 PM
Well it seems that Jim is a Swamp People fan and when I said that I was going to Pierre Part he seemed pretty happy.  So I thought that the only thing that would make him feel even better was if I took a picture for him.  So this is for Jim.

Then I thought that if he would like that one then he would really wish that he was there with Becky and me for this picture.

And then I thought he might like to see a picture of Troy and his mother.  She is a very nice lady and spent about a half hour showing us where they take the gators, the crayfish that were coming in, the kid cutting crawfish bait, etc.

So these are for you Mr. Jim.

They were as down to earth as the are on the show.  Troy was really happy when he arrived since he had just closed the deal on a piece of property that he said is beautiful and that he has wanted for a long time.  Troy's mom gave me an 8x10 picture of Troy and Jacob and when Troy arrived she told him that he needed to sign it for us.  Before we left I had her sign it as well and she seemed to enjoy that.  Myrtle said that Troy loved to hunt and when he was about 8 he would go into the woods with his BB gun and spend the day there hunting.  Then he started fishing and really enjoyed that as well.  I think that I now know things about Troy that I am pretty sure I should not know.  Myrtle treated me just like family - maybe better.  She is a wonderful woman.

That is so cool!  Glad to hear Troy was down to earth.  I was always afraid those reality shows take average people and give them big heads.

How did you manage to swing a meeting with Troy and his mom?
