New Jersey police and Dept. of Children and Families officials raided the home of a firearms instructor and demanded to see his guns after he posted a Facebook photo of his 11-year-old son holding a rifle.
“Someone called family services about the photo,†said Evan Nappen, an attorney representing Shawn Moore. “It led to an incredible, heavy-handed raid on his house. They wanted to see his gun safe, his guns and search his house. They even threatened to take his kids.â€

Just goes to show what they are capable of. Glad he stood his ground. I think facebook has a purpose that we are not aware of. I couldnt believe my eyes when i read the permissions you gave them when you download the facebook app. I have a facebook for my lures and sale alot and get alot of contacts through it but do not have the app. If any of you do have the app on your phone you need to investigate what you gave them permission to do. Things like 'they can access yur phones camera and look through it at any time. They can see through your cameras eye more or less. It will amaze you and that is not all.

"_____ Human Services is requesting a welfare check on a 13-year-old child who told his teacher that his dad has guns in the house. The social worker is requesting that we check the house to make sure that there aren't any guns in the home, and that we call them back with a dispo".
I responded with a statement of:
"Is there more to the story than that?"
Before dispatch could respond my sergeant interjected on the radio and said: "Call the social worker back and tell her that the 2nd Amendment allows people to own guns, even if they have children".
