Title: Trophy Coues
Post by: JohnP on March 29, 2013, 03:49:23 PM
This guy was taken one ridge south of our place.  He was in a bachlor group of five and he wasn't the biggest.  The big one was keeping to the trees and never presented a good shot.  This guy was a 6x5 but would have been a 6x6 had he not lost a tine rolling down the mountain, scored 113 after deductions.

That's a HUGE Coues!  And the prettiest big one I've seen.  We had some relatives who hunted Coues near Douglas.  They had one just at the record book margin, small racks even compared to our little blacktails.
