Upper 40's here.
I went out in the woods watched for trains as my brother dropped trees across the tracks :doh2:
And then I got to split it all by hand and bring it home. :whew: Quite the work-out regime
Jim,
What do you do when you see the train coming and there is a tree down across the tracks? Tell the train to stop or tell your brother to run?
Jerry
Train come,instant toothpicks.
Well the plan was that since we were on a straight away, I could give him enough warning to stop cutting if I seen one coming.
And once it went down, as long as nothing showed up, we should ample time to dice it up and roll it down the hill away from the tracks to finish it.
Trust me we talked each other out of it for quite a while and we knew we'd be in trouble if caused the trains any grief. But we decided it'd be better then the trees falling across the tracks on their own due to them being dead and vulnerable.
