Check it out...when was the last time lobbyists hit up our lawmakers to put a ban on automobile manufactures? Have they ever?
Does anyone know how many people are killed each year by drunk drivers? I mean seriously...this is a pathetic and fully avoidable problem in this country. Lord help those that have lost a loved one due to a drunk driver.
They want to put bans and stiffer ownership on guns because they are used to kill people. Why stop there?
How many drunks have used a Buick to kill people? Or even how many have used a Ford, a Pontiac, a GMC?
Isnt it time to put an end to the violence and implement stricter ownership laws and tighter background checks before people are allowed to own one of these vehicles?
I mean after all, it's the gun thats killing people and not the loose nut but behind the butt plate, so it should fare the same for drunk drivers. The cars are killing people not the drunk, right???
Jim it's the booze so they should ban alcohol. Oh wait they tried that before didn't they?? :doh2:
Now it looks like we have to ban all charter buses, at least in Texas :doh2:
"According to the FBI annual crime statistics, the number of murders committed annually with hammers and clubs far outnumbers the number of murders committed with a rifle.""
"For example, in 2011, there was 323 murders committed with a rifle but 496 murders committed with hammers and clubs."
"Another interesting fact: According to the FBI, nearly twice as many people are killed by hands and fists each year than are killed by murderers who use rifles."
