My daughter has received a full-scholarship to attend the 2013 Mises University in Auburn next month. She was also one of the lucky few to be selected to attend a 5 session track in Constitutional Law being taught by Judge Napolitano.
We'll be there for a little over a week. While she's attending the Conference, I'll need something to occupy my time.
What's to see and do in and around Auburn?
College town - I am guessing there are a few places to get some liquid refreshments.
Jerry
Or find a street corner and sit and watch collage girls
Never been there but pass my Kudos to the young lady :congrats:
Congratulations to your Daughter FOs!! I can't help you with the entertainment aspect so I hope you enjoy your trip!!
Wow! That is some serious high quality stuff. Congratulations to her. Should be good material for her to learn, and it will look very good on a resume... unless she is applying at the current White House! :innocentwhistle:
Congrats to your daughter Fos! :congrats: Looks to be a big lake NW of there. 'Bama is supposed to have good fishing. I'll be there Friday to try my luck. On the south end anyway.
Thanks guys. She's always been academically gifted, was just a challenge to get her motivated and kick started. She'll graduate next year with a double major (Political Science and Economics).
She's not sure if she wants to go on for a Masters and PhD in Economics, or go to Law School.
250Savage though is far the most academically gifted of our three children. He just finished his Freshman year in HS, and already has two years of HS credit (began earning credit in the 7th grade) and 6 semester hours of college credit. He's currently at Texas State for the summer in an honors mathematics program.
I have no idea what he's learning, as it's beyond my pathetic mathematics education! :laf:
He says he's finally being challenged academically. But enjoying it, as well as the interaction with other kids in his age group with his "affliction". Over 3400 kids applied, and only 32 admitted.
Ok, I'll quit bragging..... but obviously I'm proud of them!
^^^^ As you should be!
YAH! You should be proud of them all!! :congrats:
You done something right, I got one in jail that only calls when he needs money :doh2:
Fos,
Not only are they gifted academically, but they also seem to be interested in hunting and shooting. Quite often that is not the case.
Jerry
Don't stop bragging now FOs!! I was just getting interested in the academic achievements of your kids!! :yoyo: :yoyo: I think it's great they want to learn as much as possible.

Congrats to your Daughter, I'm sure your very proud of her
