Makes me wonder if there's something we dont know about. Yeah seems a little over the top. :confused:
It does seem excessive with the number of people involved. But I also think that the shelter should know the law. "Wisconsin law bans residents or shelters from possessing any live wild animals." Had they immediately contacted the animal reserve in Illinois the deer might still be alive. But then again I really don't know. There seems to be laws concerning the transfer of "wild" animals across state lines. I had heard that this was to help curb the spread of illnesses. But, but looking at the dead Ash trees around Ohio, we know that the spread of bad things happens.
