Only 4 miles from home. Lion killed a friend of mines longhorn(pet) today. DNR is working on their ferrel cat report.
Yah, Ferral Cat :laf:
Damn. Keep us posted on what goes on.
How big/old was the longhorn?
Sick'em Dave. Why not long ago I had an expert tell me pumas just pass through Iowa. (not enough habitat ya know) I hear tell they keep roaming until they hit an ocean. Then swim out & drown themselves? :eyebrownod:
Any recent news on the lion Dave? I've been looking for sign on/off all Summer. Haven't seen anything lately, nor heard any reports.
Nothing new. Heard they thought it was the same cat that was operating around Cherokee. 45 miles away. Combines are warming up, all this crop/cover is going to disappear soon! :eyebrow:
See that lion pic on the news today? Dave. You know they just pass through don't you? :laf:

...and they are lost from South Dakota :laf:
I bet? or whatever  in a few wks. Some beach comber will find its bloated carcass along the sea shore. Only an idjit would believe Iowa has its own population.
The WDNR tried demeaning us a couple years ago when all the wolf sitings started piling in. Now we have a full blown Wolf hunt running, and going on it's second season, which by the way the quota was increased substantially this second year. Over a hundred more then last year. :eyebrownod:
As long as they can get a few people to believe they dont exist....well...then they simply, dont exist. :doh2:
Looking at that pic I think they are making there dirt hole sets to big. :doh2:
I suspect that hole. Is for burning brush or trash. Or is a bury site for dead livestock.

I've seen 3 single nomadic wolves over my yrs. Here in Iowa Jim. I suspect there are a few here any given day.
