Went for a little walk around tbe property and noticed the bumper crop of these.
Gona try and make some wine as soon as there ready
What are they?
Paw paws or indiana banana.
Last year they tasted like custard. The year before they had a slight cantalope flavor cause the neighbor planted cantalope near the patch.

I just hope that no dog lifted his leg on the tree this year. If he did, you won't want to try any of them.

You say that like both were odd...What are they suppose to taste like?
Banana or custard is usually how they taste but sometimes they can take on the taste of whatever tbey were crosspolinated with.
Custard wine? Well, I like custard, and wine. I dunno
I thought you were gonna say they taste like chicken

People who say everything tastes like chicken don't have a very wide range of taste experience with which to compare. :puke: I.e. Rattlesnake doesn't taste like chicken IMO at all but tastes similar to frog legs. :laf:
That makes me feel a little better Okanagan, cause I wasnt sure how I was going to handle the thought of chicken wine :laf:
