full moon the 18th who is going to try them here in ky
I think I know of one.... :eyebrownod:
...wait two!
Probably will pass since Ohio allows lights to be used at night - not to mention any firearm. But it looks like your state is headed in the right direction.
Jerry
If'en we get some snow on the ground by then, I'll go.
you might be surprised how well you can see under a full moon after your eyes adjust to the light weedwalker ,its all about picking the right fields to set up in.

It's mostly woods & mountains where I live. Should I sit on top of the mountains in the woods, or down in the hollars in the woods??
Ain't many fields around here.
you sure do have a problem their. :doh2:
I've hunted with Big Ed several times down in his neck of the woods, and there sure ain't many open fields to choose from. I've noticed it is hard to find good snow cover on full moon nights, but that might just be bad luck for me.
I was thinking you can't start hunting them @ night until Feb 01
LBLDog, maybe you are thinking about when you can use lights to hunt them?
CRAP!!! Now there's supposed to be a lunar eclipse tonight. That just shows that the Ky Fish & Wildlife Dept will go to any extreme to make it as tough as possible for us to hunt at night. :madd:
Big Ed, it is an old Indian saying that coyotes dance on their hind feet during a lunar eclipse. Ought to be a great night to hunt them.
