Title: An Owl picture(s)
Post by: MI VHNTR on December 21, 2013, 07:11:35 PM
This was taken a couple of years back and I just found it. A mother owl and a baby owl. It's not something that you see very often. Hopefully, the arctic owls will make an appearance this year. They are very impressive to see and, as a bonus,  they help to eliminate the local pigeon population.

Thats pretty cool. It took me a while to find the baby and now I'm not sure if i actually found it or not....what a size difference if I did.

The owlet is just past where the branches of the tree come together, about 1/2 way across the picture. The eye is wide open on the little one.

You are correct, that's the owlet. There were two little ones earlier on, but this was the only one left when the picture was taken.
