I'm so glad your son is doing better and will be praying for a successful operation on his eye.
It's guys like him that make it possible for guys like me to pursue what freedom allows us too.
My deepest gratitude goes out to him.

:shck:
Hi all,
The boy is back with failed results, to his eye, (permanent loss) He is scheduled to be released from active duty in July instead of October,
Dad will be teaching him to shoot left handed. He has a positive attitude about it all and can't wait to go hunting again.
Thanks again all
April
The best of luck to you, your son and your family. My prayers are with you.
Nelson
Thank you Nelson,
We are all just so relieved its finally over for him he spent two tours in Iraq, and comes from a family with long ties to the military dating back to the civil war, and there was never any doubt in his mind that he too would serve,
As a matter of fact only (2) from his High school had signed contracts to enlist out of a class of 238!
These guys amaze me what dedication they put into the service of their country and then to have politics and confusion distract some from the real issues of what it takes to preserve our FREEDOM's!
God bless all who have served and who continue to serve without the blind folds of politics.

April,
I'm glad you son is back home. I'm sorry to hear he has lost sight in his right eye. Although it may take some time to recover he will overcome this. Trust me I know first hand, I was permanently blinded in my right eye several years ago, due to a industrial accident. It took a while to adjust but today the loss is seldom noticed.
Yes, he will need to make a few adjustments. As far as rifles go, I have a tip for him. Try installing extra high or see through scope mounts on his rifles, this will help get the scope up high enough so he can shoot either left or right handed. This certainly helped me get back into shooting and hunting.
