Red Fox kits are weaned by 5wks old. But they will continue to suckle. As long as their mother is producing milk & tolerates them hammering on her. At around 8wks old. The female will take some of her little out exploring/learning & hunting in the late pm. At 12wks old the kits pretty much come & go on their own from the den site. I have yet, to see a Red pup hunt with one of it's siblings. Rather they are singular/lone hunters. Unlike coyote pups.
