Post by: HaMeR on May 15, 2014, 05:19:16 AM
19 of 55 counties now allow Sunday hunting in the great State of West Virginia!! Whatever you're doing Frogman keep doing it!!  :yoyo:

Congratulations on the additions.  I am glad that Ohio has it statewide so that you don't have to wonder if you are on the 'shoot' or the 'no shoot' side when close to a county line.  Heck if Ohio had done it this way there would never be Sunday hunting in Cincinnati, Columbus, or Cleveland.  But they have always had more Sunday shootings (or late Saturday night) than any other city in Ohio.  They just don't eat what they shoot.

The last Ohioan that I knew of that would eat what "they" were shooting late at night was Dahmer.  :alscalls: :alscalls:

I know it doesn't seem like much but in todays game I think West Virginia Sportsmen/women are winning. I'm happy for those good folks & would like to see some of their other draconian laws revised.

I could not agree more.  I only wish that all states allowed Sunday hunting.  Until that happened here I had one day a week (when lucky) that I could hunt - Saturday.

And I didn't even have that day Jerry. I always had to work most every Saturday up until these last couple years. Heck I had one stretch where I didn't even get my hunting liscense for almost 10 years. THAT sucked!!

Our hunting lease straddles the Wirt Calhoun line!  This will be nice for us!!

Bout time you chimed in on this Frogman!!  :laf: :laf:

Did your club have anything to do with getting this to the Election Board? Or is it the WVDNR finally decided to have a run at it? Inquiring minds you know!!

Now if they can figure out a way to let you hunt coyotes year round in the woods OR the open fields. Maybe your club can take that to the next DNR meeting if they haven't already.

Sure wish they'd open Sundays around here. I wouldn't have to go buy a NY license every year.

Yeah, I probably would still, but it would be nice to hunt something other than coyotes here on Sundays.

Maybe some day Pa will see the light.

IMO I think States are losing money with the no Sunday hunting. A lot of people just don't have time the rest of the week. I don't know the solution for these things.  :rolleye: :rolleye:

Steve, there is nothing better to hunt than coyotes, regardless of the day. :iroll:
