Can vultures smell? “I†think they can and to test my theory we took a dead jack and completely covered it with branches, leaves, grass, etc. Within hours the vultures had discovered it and had a late afternoon snack. Amazing birds!

According to the PBS special I watched vultures have an encredible sense of smell. In fact the best on the planet. According to PBS anyway

No way Jim. They are a protected species and they do a dang good job of clean-up.
