Title: They were stacked!
Post by: FinsnFur on July 24, 2014, 09:53:31 PM
Had to swing down to the river tonight and pick up the youngest daughter from work, whos working at a campground for the summer. I decided to leave a lil early :eyebrownod:

They weren't very big but they were sure stacked in there. Caught 9 in total off an old half submerged beaver dam in about 3 feet of water. All in the same spot.

Yes Ben. He picked it up off the bottom which isnt like Pike at all. Actually the Pike, and the one Bass wearing the jig are the only two that I caught on the swim jig. Well...those two and a Dogfish (Bowfin) the size of my leg.

All the others I caught using an unweighted Texas rigged Senko

It's always fun when they're biting, no matter what size they are.

Where is the dogfish image?   Nothing like a slimy ugly creature to liven things up.

Didnt take any of the dog fish. Their so difficult to handle it aint worth it. They trash your lure all to hell and cut your hands up while your trying to get a pic. :doh2:
I usually hold em down on the ground and stick my knife up their arse and cut em clear to the jaw then toss em back in. Let em swim till their guts fall out. In fact we caught 3 more dogs today. Katie got in on the action she caught two, 20 inches or so. First one she says can I hold it for my picture or dont we wanna be seen with these? :laf: I said we dont wanna be seen with these. I pulled out my knife and slit him wide open and flipped it back in the water. She says, "murder scene!" lol
