Title: Icy road & car went into canyon
Post by: Okanagan on January 06, 2015, 12:47:15 PM
Posted by a friend this morning on FB.  Yes, that trail down the slope is where the car rolled and slid into the river way below.  Interior British Columbia.

Hopefully whoever was in there survived.  It doesn't look like a ride I would like to take.

Bad trip down alright.  Bridge River near Lillooet, BC.  Photo below looks like it was taken the next day, car pulled out of river which has frozen more since the first pic.

I hope nobody got hurt during that slip too. My goodness that must have felt like an eternity waiting for the car to stop!! Then wondering just where it was going to stop!!

Can I assume that is a near 450' drop?

450 is a pretty good guess.  Now heard that two people died.  A collision with another vehicle started the plunge.  Seemed like every highway in that range of mountains had a truck or other vehicle slid off.
