4 Paws and Yote Yoda made a late afternoon stand yesterday, hoping that the wind would die down just before dark. It did just that, and it was a pretty good time with light snow falling. They had the Shockwave and decoy set up at the edge of a brush filled sinkhole, and they were about 50 yards away facing opposite directions, calling quartering with the wind. After a couple of howls and a few minutes watch, started Jackrabbit Vittles at low volume. A nice pair entered the field about 200 yards away right at the point a creek ditch enters. They came non stop for about 100 yards, both stopping by a small brushpile. The female raised up on the edge of the brush, and 4 Paws anchored her with a shot to the chest, DRT. The male took off for Dodge and 4 Paws gave him one running shot try, but no cigar. Real nice[, well furred out female. All in all, a pretty good quick hunt. Here is a picture:

One less litter to be concerned about this spring - good job. Try as I may I still haven't been out this year.
