Recently found in a field, 15 miles East SouEast of me.

I spoke with the farmer's wife today. Her husband(who found the track) is suppose to call me later today.
Some of you young hunters may have pondered? Felines don't leave claw marks...Well they do/will on rare occasion.
Below is a Bobcat track (L-paw). Note the stair step layout of the toe pads. Also note a "leading toe" Visual indicators of a feline print.
whoops here it is :doh2:

Le' meow lol
What'd he have to say?
Guy who took the pic. Is not a farmer, but does field tile work for farmers. I haven't spoke with him yet, maybe tomarrow? Anyway I obtained the landowners name. So I'll be contacting them soon for a follow up.
Snafu, you should be working for law enforcement on cold case files. :laf:

Not a bad idea? For a moment there. I thought you were going to say. I should be a lion hunter? At which I would've remarked....I only have so many yrs before I get tagged by a garbage truck(or die from un-natural causes). Before a lion is in front of my barrel.
Anyone notice something odd about the "lion" track pic? I have...after further examination. The far right toe pad should be lower than the one to it's immediate left(like the Bobcat track below)...duh. After looking at many bear track pics. I believe this is a front paw bear track & not a lion track. The county this track was found in. Does have an occasional black bear. Just not many.
jeesh :doh2:
