Title: What's your favorite
Post by: slagmaker on April 05, 2016, 01:18:24 PM
What's you favorite or go to color for beetle spins.

I use the black with green strip mostly. Mostly in 1/8 and 1/4 ounce sizes depending on rod and conditions.

my most productive used to be a ¼oz jig head with appropriate sized spinner and blade, and a pearl twister tail at night time for walleye over a rock bottom...

when I was much younger, 40 years ago I used to be able to find mother of pearl spinner blades... those things were the bomb for walleye, they'd glow in the moon light... should have bought 20# of them when I had the chance...  a beetle spin/safety pin spinner rigged with the pearl blade and pearl twister tail, best walleye lure going for working the 2nd and 3rd shift...

Wonder if I could make some mother of pearl blades out of muscle shell?

I think the irredesent colors a flashing would help even Jim catch fish.. :innocentwhistle:
