Last weekday of our 4th of July shutdown today. I decided to take the kayak out In search of some bass before all the city slicking morons started invading the river.
20 mph winds with up to 30 mph gusts. Well! I didnt see that coming. What an adventure. Did you guys know that a kayak can be used as a surfboard also? LOL
Anyway, I did manage to find a few. It was really nice to be out there without the weekend crowds tearing stuff up Elite wannabe Pro fisherman riff raff.

There were so many replies that I thought of, but then remembered what I told the kids on the playground - Be nice and play well with others.

:laf: Thanks Jerry
I had the current going my way on the way out of there, Okanagan. So heading out wasnt real bad cause in between gusts I'd get a little momentum lol since the wind was going against the current. The tricky part was rowing up to a stump to make a couple casts and before your halfway through your retrieve...your setting tight SMACK DAB in the middle of the spot you wanted to fish. :doh2:
