Do any of the veterans on here remember what the 12th general order of a sentry is?  :innocentwhistle:

No. That was 50 years ago and these days I'm lucky if I can remember what I had for breakfast.

I'm no veteran but isn't it something like stay on post till help arrives to remove the carcass of whom ever tried to get past the sentry?

There's actually only 11 but when the drill instructor would try to trip you up and say what is the 12th general order of a sentry the correct answer was:

" To walk my beat, beat my meet, fuch everything within 15 feet and you're standing too close sir! "

There are times that when someone ask for my name, I have to pull out my ID to check to make sure I am who I think I am.
