Post by: FinsnFur on June 27, 2017, 07:46:33 PM

Watch the Stewart as them boys got a hankering to take anything nailed down and the nails too.

How did they get across the border?

Hundreds and probably thousand of trucks cross through customs at the US/Canadian border every day.  There is a huge truck crossing border station here and train loads of lumber crossing southward.  There is also a huge lumber storage yard just on the US side with acres and acres of Canadian lumber, a sore point at times in the border tariff negotiations when the US claims Canada is dumping low cost lumber.  That a side topic but the US brought it on themselves by forcing Canadian mills out of business unless they were so ultra modernly efficient that they could produce cheaper than US mills.  A trucker friend of mine used to haul twice a week into Canada and back, Seattle to Kelowna and back.  Don't even remember what he hauled.

Most of what we get comes from Canada now that we have that stupid saw that cuts whole units. No more mixed loads of lumber. Now we get full loads of each dimension.
Millar Western supplies 90% of it. Once in a while a few loads of Boise Cascade pull in.

It seems you are still not in love with the new saw.

But it is BIG and cuts lots of things in one pass. Maybe if it had more power.
