Just got back today :whew:
What an awesome place. The scenery was absolutely stunning. And the journey up to the peaks via ATV was...well...lets say pretty sketchy at times. :whew:
Here's a link to some pics I brought back. Facebook was the easiest without maxing any limits on photobucket or dropbox...and they'll even let you look without having a facebook account now. Just click "no thanks" when it asks if you want to join.

Awsome
Yep, awesome! Dd you get any color when you were panning? Looks like you've added some waterfalls to your memory bank, plus some boot skiing.
Loved the high mountains above timberline and the old mine buildings and gear. What a trip!
VERY nice pictures. Thanks for taking us along on your trip.
I think I did Okanagan lol. The guy that invited me along and brought the gold pans knows a little bit more about it than I do. But I think I had some gold dust flakes in the bottom of mine when I was done. He said I didn't know what I was talking about LOL. I think I've watched enough Gold Rush on TV to be an expert though LOL

Awesome. :bowingsmilie:
Did you find breathing a mite difficult?
Were you tenting?
Thanks for sharing.
I have been following along on the trip via Facebook and it sure looks like you had a great time.
Jerry
Some great pics Jim! Beautiful country out there. Only trouble is everything is uphill. After a while you start to appreciate the flatlands. :hahaha:
Yah Barry breathing was a chore at times.
When we got to a mine and we would finish walking up to it by the time we got up to it we're out of breath. Or if somebody got in trouble on their four wheeler and needed help getting out of a sticky situation it seem to exert a lot of energy also. The air is very thin.

No tenting. We brought tents in case we decided to but we sissied and stayed in hotels every night LOL

Jim was this a new area for them to sight see also?
Do they just pick new places every year to check out?

No Dan... both co-workers have been there before. One of them used to go every year over the Independence Day shut down just to get away. He hadnt gone for a couple years and asked if we wanted to go along this year.
I think I'm going to add s trip like that to my bucket list.
I really love the history these old mining town's hold! Thanks for taking us along.
