Title: Check out these tracks
Post by: catskinner on April 21, 2007, 02:15:00 PM
Here are some tracks we found near one of our trapping camps in Idaho last fall. The date on the camera is wrong.

Sounds like we may get a chance to hunt them this year. The Gov. has declared war on them, they are wiping out the deer and elk in central ID.

So here is the question, what kind of call would work for wolves? I have heard that the elk have quit bugling in these areas, as the wolves have found out it is like a dinner bell. Maybe they would come to the bugle.

Same thing that works on a coyote as far as distress.....or I would think a fawn in distress, and a good wolf howler.

Thanks, anybody have any other ideas? I think I will have a buddy when I try calling these.

Looks like either everyone else is in fear of being wrong......or they haven't the slightest clue,  catskinner  :laf:

This in heavy timber country, so I dont think there will be much chance for spot and stalk.
