Man that bays got some size to it too. :eyebrow:
Nice!
I couldnt catch squat all weekend. Squat worth bragging about anyway. :doh2:
I didn't catch many but the ones I got were bigguns!
Cool looking fish. Wonder why they chose blue :shrug:.
Love catching the big ones! They fight like hell.
Yessir, they are a strong fish! They look pretty cool in an aquarium too.
Wow! those are niiiice bluegills! You have my admiration-- and my envy!
I have not fished for bluegills in 30-40 years and simply MUST try to catch some on a fly rod and popper before I kick the bucket. I caught a few by chance 3 years ago when fishing for smallmouth bass in Oklahoma.
In June I hope to fish shad in the Columbia River with my BIL, and maybe can find a bluegill bay or pond in E. Washington. There were fabulous crappie and bluegill side ponds and lagoons off the Columbia/Snake River junction when I was growing up in that area but I'm told that all of those have filled with weeds and totally silted in.
Fly rods and blue gills go together like PB&J! Another fish that is a lot of fun and will literally hit anything is what we call a rock bass!

Pretty fish! I don't think I've ever seen a rock bass.

Yip we got plenty of those down here too.
Rock bass on 4lb test is an afternoon of fun.
Here's a pic of my fishung buddy Kenny and about an hours worth of goofing around.
"Fishung" :alscalls: :alscalls: :alscalls:
I am going to try for some bream and crappie, tomorrow morning! If at all possible.
Good stringer!
