Thanks for posting that nasty, I am familiar with both units the 5th Gp and SOG, was assigned to the 5th on my first tour and SOG on my last. Did you notice that there was NO mention of a CONGRESSIONAL Medal of Honor, just Medal of Honor as it should be.

He is a tough old bird! I really enjoy military history modern and old as I and all of my family for generations have been military men. Especially with two older brothers who served in Vietnam.

I'm guessing in thick jungle growth that shotgun with double buck shot was probably a pretty good Choice!
