Here's my version. Cocobolo between walnut= coco nut. :laf: I had two of these blanks but the other one had a hidden soft spot in the coco. It came apart on the low RPM setting with in seconds of the gouge hitting it. This one turned out alright tho. It does have the shape of a call I've seen before but I'm not sure. Anywho,, here itis!! It's not voiced yet. I need to get some reeds.
That looks pretty cool...and well built.
Brad
Thanks Brad. I have another glueup in the clamps right now. It is 2 one inch thick pieces of wood that appears to have some figure to it. Tomorrow!!
Nope never have and still really can't.....................................small picture. :sneer:

Cool.....very different!!!

You guys are a lot better at this sort of thing than I am.
I did a glue-up last summer out of Ebony and Hackberry that I designed to be a howler. I didn't like it right away so it didn't even get hollowed out. It's still being kicked around the basement.
Maybe I'll finish it off just for fun one of these days to add a little comic relief.
Brad
It looks edible. :sneer:
:holdon: oh crap dont let Bopeye hear that
The wife likes that basket too. :laf: And sorry about the small picture. :roflmao:
Thanks guys. It did turn out OK I think.
Brad-- Turn it!! Could be a diamond in the rough. :eyebrow:
