Everything really is big in Texas!
I think I saw him swimming in the Maumee river headed toward Toledo, Ohio. Either that or it was a log.
From the article - "Despite his size, Big Tex is considered tame and isn’t believed to pose a threat to humans, according to Jonathan Warner, alligator program leader for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department." ...And I have a Western Diamondback who comes whenever I whistle for him, would not strike anybody he is so docile.

Big Tex didn't get that big eating carrots! I am not sure if JohnP is funning us but I could see him with a pet rattlesnake :yoyo:
