I hunted 3 or 4 hours a day for 2 days and ended up with a couple pounds. The ash,elm and popular tress had rings walked around them before I even got there. Hopefully this rain will bring them up. If not it's gonna be a bad year for shrooms.   :sad:

He found all the poision Ivy....Ol eagle eye can't look at the stuff with out getting it. The shrums are all but gone here. They are getting harder to find each trip and we will probably start fishing real hard now that they are. The bass have came off the beds and the groundhogsa are learning to run when they see my truck. So me and lil man will start making the trout & catfish worry now. LOL
Right now we have a date with some friends on the pool table. Eagle eye is a pool shark as well. :rolleye: And rook champ. :rolleye: and horseshoe pro. :roflmao: :roflmao:

You'll think I'm pulling your leg but I swear everytime he ask me to buy him a lottery ticket, the scratch ones, he wins. That's not a bad idea Jerry. Only thing is we don't have any tracks around here. Except for the dirt track for the race cars. And if I know Cam me taking him there will only lead to me having to buy a race car and don't see that happining. LOL

      I had a mess of them for dinner last week.I would say they are almost gone now.The farther north you go the later they will be around.

A race car 4 sale, here.....Hmmmmm.....No I can't. His mom & my mom already want to string me up for the motorcycle and go-cart.  But I keep telling them he's a boy and boys got to have their toys. My mom still says he can't ride the dirt bike unless I'm home as she is tired of him scaring her to death. :shrug:

None here because i DONT like them,,when i was a lot younger my Dad would take me and then get pissed because all i ever looked for and found was Deer antlers and he HATED Deer because he was a hard core coon hunter,,but when he found out i sold 1 Deer shed for $100 HE started looking for them,,he never found any before he died :sad: but my kids find them and say they are for Grandpa

I Just got laid off so i will have a TON more time on my hands and i have a feeling i will be in here more,hell i can get unemployment for 2 years,i just got my notice today,,BUT i dont know if i am going to school or not,,they may not let me since i have 3 "marketable" skills,,i COULD tell them i DONT KNOW how to do anything :biggrin: hell come to think of it i MAY NOT KNOW how to do anything :confused: BUT i will be ib here more if the people of this fine site will let me?

I found a bag of em in my freezer from last year. Do ya think they're any good yet?

Well none of the above. But my experience with freezing them is they turn to mush. Kinda like eating wet bread.

I store them in an unsealed plastic bag in the bottom of the fridge and when they are gone they are gone. Freezing them just never worked out real good.

They are good on Elk steak also,we dehydrate them for winter,good in spaghetti :yoyo:

Sorry, pretty dry humor there. Actually it doesn't work too bad if you lay them out on like a cookie sheet and freeze them, so they are frozen individually, once they're frozen you can put em all in a big freezer bag, That way you can take out as many as you want, and it's not a big lump froze all together. The big thing is take them from freezer and put directly into pan, without letting them thaw. Not as good as fresh but it works ok.
