Nope, haven't seen it before. I would guess that it is a shell casing that the tree grew around.

Looks like a jacketed bullet was fired into a tree and went through the milling process. On second thought, I do believe Hawks Feather is correct. Shell set over a small twig and the tree grew around it.

The trimmers found it in a 8ft piece of door casing at work. They cut this piece out and keep it on display I sure would like to know the story behind it.Guests are not allowed to view images in posts, please Register or Login
