I snapped this pic on my phone last weekend while out in the kayak. I'm intrigued how I can turn my phone upside down and the photo looks the same.
Don't take much to entertain me LOL(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210701/203811e295fdc5e8624742a998d81fc8.jpg)

If you turn your phone upside down doesn't the top become the bottom and the bottom become the top with the same image. :innocentwhistle:
I do like the image with the smooth as glass reflection.
Cool pic! :yoyo:
Are all those trees dead?
Great pic!

Boy they sure look good don't they? My guess is yes but now I got to look next time I'm out there. There's a lot of deadwood out there. This is actually a small island.. you're not looking at actual land.

Bring your chainsaw next time you're out there
Yeah, one of the places that I like to fish is a state owned managed hardwood forest over here. They would really frown on that lol. That's not where those pictures were but that's what it reminded me of

I love it! [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
Shelby always carried around a Ruger super Blackhawk revolver. I'm going to go with the Kimber lol

I bet if you used a motorboat you probably could pick up some pretty good firewood here and there :innocentwhistle:
What a beautiful photo! Only thing better would be to be there and take the pic!
Coming back from the east I saw many, like lining the roads for miles, trees that were either dead or looked like these. They all are being taken over by thick ivy. I don't know if it was poison ivy, but it sure was thick. Nasty will be able to add some info on what type of ivy it is.

Yeah camping on the islands usually provides good firewood. But to harvest it with a motorboat would be a lot of unnecessary work. The remote area that I live in is covered with woodland and firewood is rarely an issue. Plus there's a huge State Park completely covered in hardwood that is also a hardwood managed Forest. And they pretty much cull
their own trees and give the wood away practically. Lot less work than hauling it off the river in a flat bottom boat lol
