Now this is a BIG pig!
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,275524,00.html
That thing is huge, you'd want to put a good shot on that one.
:shck: holy crap ...THATS A LOTTA HAM!
That is almost beyond belief! :shck:
In some of the places I get to hunt you never get him back to the truck except a piece at a time. I bet that thing tore the woods up.
Welcome to Fins and Fur Eric
Thanks. There seems to be a lot of information here if I can read through all of it.
Now I don't know how they could consider this thing to be a pig, This is what I call a HOG and a Big one at that. Good picture. cc
Yeah here in Alabama we let the kids shoot the little ones
Rich....your so full of it.......little ones :rolleye:.LOL :hahaha:
If that mammoth came through the thicket.....I would want something other than a pistol in hand. Heck , the biggest thing I have is a 7mm mag and I would still have to think about the thing turning on me before I shot. And after the shot, Cam would have to get the spare shorts out of the truck for me or him one...maybe both of us.
We shoot them with pistols here so we can give the 17hmr a break  Just kiddin
That is one hellova hog I have seen some 600 to 700 but aint never seen nothing close to that. We hog hunted alot in south AL and I have been out at night with the catch dogs. Could you Imagen wading in the thick with only a flash light and a knife to that in the dark??

Could you imagine what we'de be reading right now...if that pistol jammed or didnt do what he was hoping for it to do? :shck:
.50 S&W took 8 shots and 3 hrs trailing him through the brush. Also had a couple of rifles for back up, don't know if they had a shorts bearer or not.
Shorts bearer :roflmao: :roflmao:
Wow......it's early, and I'm a achin........for some bacon.
I don't know about that pic. I'm thinking not so real.
Lot's of sausage there for sure but it would surprise me if it was fit to eat.
One time, while Bop and I were calling coyotes, we had a wild boar run by us that made ol' hogzilla look like a little piggy....
....at least it did at the time. :laf:
:roflmao:

Thank you Chet. I was just chatting with Jeb and that's exactly what I said Rich could do............. :roflmao:
So Rich........just go ahead and .............. :nofgr: You know.........what Chet Said........ :laf: :roflmao:
I think that little piggy has been in a photoshop...........but we all know that NOBODY here would do that........
Would they Rich? :innocentwhistle:  :sneer:
I looked at it as close as I could and it appears the boy is around 3 feet or so behind the hog. He has his arms propped up on his knee. I believe he is trying to give the illusion he his propped up on the hog.
In Jawja they have facial hair and driver license by the third grade. Reason is they are around 18 at the time they reach the third grade.
Chet you have been hanging around Bop way to long :rolleye: He is always trying to get some guys mouth close to him he is into the biting thing.
I don't think the hog was "out there" hiding all the time. From what I'm reading about the hog, it had been previously trapped and placed within a fenced enclosure. Plenty of good feed with little exercise will allow them to grow much larger than a free ranging actually wild/feral hog.

Now that's a fact..............just take a look at me boys. :laf:
lmao Rich !! :roflmao: :roflmao:
I am with you on that one GC it was in a fenced in preserve. I have been to one of these in south AL and you walk by a bunch of hogs going to your stand. Once the feeder goes off they come a running. The guy told me he got a 600lbs hog and put it in a holding cage and when the client came they herded it past him. They charged Something like $3500 for that hog.
By the way they took the photo trying to deceive people was one of there goals so it makes me wonder even more.
I think they did try to enhance the photo by putting the boy back from the hog. But I did go to there web site where they had a pic of the hog hanging from the bucket of a tractor, it looks pretty big. Also a domestic boar can get up to 1300 lbs. But on the other hand when they took it to have it made into sausage you would think it would have been weighed there.
