CrossJ, Not Jim or Brent but you have to have 25 post in before you can send private messages to another member.
I used to be able to, what happened? I have pm's in my box fom Jim and Brent now

No, nothing has changed there.....anybody at anytime can receive a PM but only members with 25 posts to their name (Reg.Member status) can reply or send.
I'll double check to make sure that nothing got jimmied but that's been in place for a long time.
Nope everything is still intact.
The good thing about this software is it keeps records of any changes made by individuals other then myself. So if a mod deletes a post or adjusts a setting, it logs the action and the time.
The permission to send private messages is still set at 25 post minimum...nothing has changed.

Jim, I sent those original PMs. The 18 in my mailbox are the responce to pms I sent. Some are to you, some to JD(Canine) and some to Brent. I got on here last night to send you a personnal message, and got a responce that I could not send pms. I was confused that I had lost privileges, and didnt know what I had done for this to happen.
So I guess what your saying is I need a few more posts?

I'll tell you what may have happened and that is basically the members are parts of different groups. New member, Reg member Seasoned Member etc. There was a time.....a very short time, where a few members didnt actually get placed into a group.
New Members weren't getting placed into the new Member group, they were going into what was called ungrouped members.
The ungrouped members never had a closely adjusted set of permissions because I figured we by passed the ungrouped and had everyone grouped.
Once I was able to see what was happening I made a few adjustments so it all would fall into place automatically.
