Our daughter is visiting from Pennsylvania with her husband and two boys. We are getting those boys out hiking, fishing, working for the family business, and hunting bears with their older cousins.
Photo above is the youngest from Pennsylvania glassing for bears a couple of evenings ago. He went for a ride about with my younger son and I and while his brother went with cousins. They were hunting bears and we were just looking, so we did not try to call anything.
The fireweed (lavender flowers in the photo) are fabulous this year, tall and covering the clearcuts, the best I've ever seen them. They were so pretty I took my wife up through all of those roads the next day so she could see the flowers.
The grandson above was looking over this patch of country, in the photo below. No bears that evening, though we saw two coyotes.
