So how about an ugly call contest – this is truly an Ugly Betty of the predator call world. It has a tremendous amount of heart...literally – it is made of a yellowheart barrel and a purpleheart stopper. This girl is butt ugly, but brimming with confidence, she sounds absolutely awesome! Sorry I don't have a sound clip Jim; :innocentwhistle: I have to find a mic input for my computer to record a sound file, I think that is all I am missing.
Anyway, here she is...one of a kind and never to be made again. She is armed with a double stainless steel reed.

I simply can't bear to make ugly calls. It has to be pretty ugly when the creator gives a critique of this kind. I have better plans in mind for a two piece predator call, time to head to the shop. Wish me luck :eyebrow:

Don't sweat it Jim...Ugly Betty has a half sister. her complexion is a bit on the darker side, but she is a real looker for a heavy set gal.

I don't think ugly is appropriate either. Plain call but just because it is plain doesn't make it ugly. I think the call is nice, has a good finish and the colors go well together.
Well thanks you all very much. I guess I see it as ugly mainly because it just didn't turn out the way I was expecting. I have another near done, but I have to get the finish completed on it before I can take any pics. This one turned out the way I was expecting after I made a few modifications to the design. I'll post some pics when it is finished.
