It is great to have you back.  I missed reading your sensitive and delicately worded posts.   :yahoo:  In your absence, several tried to step up to the plate and take your place but there was no food left but they couldn't do it.  Glad you had a good time.  You did have a good time, didn't you?

It's always so good to be back home and hearing from the folks that like me....... :huh: :wo:

Anywho.........the family did have a good time. We stayed in a Hotel right on the beach and that sucker was an overpriced scum pit, but what the heck, ya can't take money to the grave can ya.......... :nono:

I hadn't been there in fifteen years and I couldn't believe how much it had changed.  :shck:
Use to be kind of a remote little island tucked away for just a few that knew it existed. A couple motels, a few bars and maybe a place or two to eat all within a couple hundred yards from the beach. Lot's of space just to park your car and be a beach bum if you wanted to be.

Fast forward to now. Not a single inch of real estate that doesn't have a motel, home or something on it and the limited public parking they have comes with a price. Can't stop to pee on the side of the road without first putting money or a credit card in a parking meter. I got tired of it and just said to heck with it yesterday.........got a $15 parking ticket.... :laf:
but that's still cheaper than paying for it up front.......... :eyebrownod:

Outside of a few minor skirmishes between the kids, it really was an enjoyable time. Everyone who has kids needs to get a dvd player for the car............it almost eliminates the "Are we there yet" stuff. It's replaced with "I don't want to watch that one" about every hour and a half or so..... :iroll:

Well, I'm glad to be back and see all of your smiling faces. My dogs seemed to be the happiest to see me......... :wo: either that or they were just happy to get out of the kennel...... :innocentwhistle:
