Title: Trout Magnet
Post by: msmith on October 17, 2025, 08:04:54 PM
So the nice little Beagle Blue Healer mix of my daughter's, the one in the kayak posts, got hit by a car the other day. It was a hard loss for us and I still see and hear the little guy almost every day.

Since my Punkin is moving to Cincinatti and will be living alone, she really needs company and an extra set of ears during the night so she picked up an addition to the family, an English Springer. She wanted a WV themed name and since Trout Magnets originated here, she named him Trout Magnet, Trout for short. Mamaw and Papaw get to potty  and obedience train him then drop him off when he's about 6 months. Here's the little booger posing for her like he knows what's going on lol.

Being a diehard trout fisherman, I love the name! Good looking puppy.

They do! I keep a pocket Plano box of 'em and a bag of the floats handy. When the crappie start moving up, I keep a plano full of Crappie Magnets too.

I always keep a pocket box of trout magnets and mini jigs and floats in my fishing vest. They are deadly on the native brookies.

Sorry for the loss, but the 'newbie' sure is cute.
