Here's a 5" elk antler howler/distress call.  This coyote is just taking it easy!  He's carved and painted, and highly detailed.  Asking $100.00 Delivered.  Thanks for looking!

Excellent job.  :yoyo:

Is that tone board carved from the antler?

FnF,

The toneboard is a KO toneboard.  I've become partial to them for their excellent sound, and the way they suit my style of calls.  I've made my own out of Delrin, and out of the horn itself.  Could not see a difference.  To be honest, I can either invest the time in a toneboard.  Or in a carving.  I choose the carving aspect. Kind of where I've staked my reputation. In addition, I can modify the KO's to suit my needs, or match the barrel pretty easily.  I tell folks that once a call maker completes his call, he is done.  I on the other hand, am just beginning!  I am taking a finished call, and cutting into it!  A little bigger risk factor involved.  For me, utilizing my time is of the highest importance.

I couldn't agree more Dave.

I hope you didn't view my question as taking away from your call.
Not how I meant it at all my friend, and I can certainly attest to the KO tone boards and I'm not even a call maker.

I just asked because it wasn't really included in the photo.

Quoteutilizing my time is of the highest importance.

..and you certianly do that well Dave. Again...Nice job on the project

Dave,

Time to post an early practice piece so we can say something new about your calls.  Till then, looks super.
