Those images are really good - especially the last one! The weather guesser said that some in this area would be able to see the lights and a couple of pics have been posted, but nothing as good as the ones you have.
Your granddaughter is tougher than the girls around here - hat, sweatshirt, winter jacket, and SHORTS.
Great pics! Northern lights are simply amazing. Hard to believe your eyes.
Rain and clouds here at the NW corner of the country, though I thought I could see a trace of glow behind the clouds one time when I looked.
Man, that little girls is really growing up! She is dressed like the girls in this cold wet area. Looks normal, especially if she is wearing thick wool socks and sandals.
Daughter took the last one there with her Iphone and lives 1 1/2 hours south of me. But she's on a beef farm in the middle of nowhere. :laf: My pics are being punished with these town lights.
I'm not a camera master like Jerry, but I'm going to try and send the drone up in a few minutes here, tonight. The lights are coming out again.
I couldnt see the lights here with my naked eye, last night. Put the phone camera in "night mode" and those pics are the result. What a difference!
I think the only camera adjust I have on the drone is "EV"..I dont know if it's gonna work or not.
Jerry already knows how this is going to go for me, I'm sure. :laf:
Didnt work :doh2:
Jerry stop laughin. :laf:
Even with the EV turned all the way down, it just looked like we were looking out a airplane window in the middle of the night. Black sky with a few town light below :sad2:
Oh well
So i know the samsung phones will transpose a fake picture on yours for the moon. Somehow it knows that if you have your photo app open and pointed to the moon it puts a fake moon image on your photo you are taking to make it sharper. I have been curious if they do the same with the northern lights? i was in bed both nights as 3 am comes early. I didnt see anything on my drive to work both mornings.
 I never heard that one. But Katie will takes pics of the moon with her Iphone and they turn out better then my Samsung S23 :alscalls:
I had to look it up though. I'm reading that the cameras were using some Ai technology to fill in details of the moon beyond the cameras focusing abilities because it knew what the moon looked like.
Are the Northern Light images fake, or Ai enhanced? I have no idea. But I took a couple last night and they were no where near as cool as the first night. Same camera settings same spot.
