Looking out the window of my Zuki from under an umbrella. 100 yards away, just before the curving road goes out of sight, an elk trail comes down from the right and crosses the road.
I finished the 2025 modern rifle elk season last evening under an umbrella. I didn't hunt elk hardly at all this season but had a tag, so went out the last afternoon. It was raining, natch.
I don't walk well on rough ground anymore, so spent the last hour sitting in my Zuki, watching an elk trail that crossed an old road from a bench above down into a fairly open river bottom flat. Can't see out the windows in the rain and with the window open the rain was really coming in, getting me and the inside of the vehicle wet.
So I jury rigged a camo umbrella that I sit behind on calling stands. It is one of the short stem ones cut away on one side to fit against a tree. I tied it to the roof rack so that it extended out over the driver side door and open window. Very comfortable. If I'd killed a bull, I have rain pants, gum boots and grandchildren to phone.
I like it. :eyebrownod: Looks like it works well.
I cant believe how green everything is

That green is due to all the rain here in the soggy North West. From the Cascades to the coast in western Washington and Oregon, there is a lot of country that looks like that.
Ive used a treebrella for years!.
