Hot homemade bread story.  A partner and I were running a wilderness camp in Canada and had spaced out the young adult campers along a river for their solo and fasting time.  We needed some item so I left my partner at the river and headed to town.  I stopped at a Mennonite farm I knew in case they had what we needed, and they had a sign on the road selling fresh bread and milk.  They took loaves out of the oven five minutes after I got there. I bought a gallon of ice cold milk, a loaf of hot bread plus fresh churned butter and raced the five miles back to my partner.
