Now it's a collectible!. Crosman was bought out by Daisy and now they are manufactured in China! :puke: . I thought I had mentioned previously I have my two older ones with the carbine stocks on them and I wanted to get another one and just leave it in pistol form.
First off they have more than doubled in price from when I bought my original ones. So I got my new one today, the shipping box looked like it had been through World War I one and two, scuffed up and dirty torn open. Fortunately the pistol was undamaged.
After inspecting it for exterior damage I gave it a function test and when I try to give it a pump the pump handle would stop about an inch from locking up and wouldn't go any further. I was thinking oh God I'm gonna have to ship it back and deal with those morons at Amazon.
After some more inspection I found where it was hanging up when I would try to close the pump the metal arm was catching on the edge of a metal rivet holding the pump arm together. I could clearly see scratch marks in the metal so obviously somebody at the factory knew about the problem and just didn't give a shit and threw it in a box and shipped it anyway.
So I put it in the gun vise and broke out my Dremel with a very fine stone grinding bit and eased the metal down on the edge of the rivet and now it functions fine. Then I oiled the piston cup and the bolt and painted my bright orange paint on the front sight and outlined the back sight with white paint.
I think I'm going to leave this one bare bone stock just the way it is. Oh and now it has a big Made In China logo on the side of it.🤮🤮. It's tough to see a legend die😩🇺🇸.
* I forgot to mention where the roll pin is just under the front sight my two older ones have a nice neat roll pin inserted, this new one has a big ugly ass beat up roll pin hanging out both sides of the hole that looks like it was made from a tin can. Nice job corporate greed.

I'm glad you were able to remedy the manufacturing defect. Still sucks that it had to go out like that.
I turn into a real asshole in situations like these. I'd already be on Amazon leaving a review informing the public that your not getting what you think your getting anymore. That crosman has traded their renown quality for Chinese trash now and it's definitely not going unnoticed.

Yes JohnP did!. The only good thing to come out of this is the American ones that we have will shoot up in value. I will definitely be leaving them a barn burner of a review on Amazon. The whole situation is a sign of the times these days. Hopefully the internals haven't changed any. I compared the Chinese one to the American ones, huge difference in fit and finish. I will take a picture of the roll pin and post it later. Sloppy crap work all around.
