Rambling through Nevada, one morning as it got light to see I pulled out of a motel parking lot and met a coyote trotting toward me down the middle of main street. He was a spindly, leggy young coyote born in April or May and he had a kitten dangling from his mouth. He was doing a getaway prance with his prize swinging back and forth to his gait. He crossed 20 feet in front of my bumper.
I roamed state and country roads, vast deserts and mountains, a few small towns like Tonapah, all new to me. Port Angeles, WA to Payson, AZ and back. 3464 miles. Loved it.
