Title: special auction
Post by: quackerstacker on July 03, 2007, 05:31:24 PM
i have offered this to the duck call guys over on cco and would like to offer it to you guys as well. jim, i hope im not over stepping my boundaries here, if so you can delete this.

okay folks... i am going to do something a little different here.  i am going to put up for auction a custom made predator call jig made to your specs.  100% of the $$$ will go to SAINT JUDES CHILDRENS RESEARCH.  the winning bidder will make their check out to saint judes and mail it to me.  i will then mail it to them and ship you the jig and the shipping will be covered by me.  i am not 100% positive but this may be a tax deduction for the winning bidder.  lets end this auction on july 15th at 8:00 pm central time.  i will contact the winning bidder.  for more info on saint judes you can go to www.stjude.org
now maybe we can get one of the moderators to sticky this.  happy bidding...it is for a great cause!

Bowjunkie,
You should take up call making.  My job can be real stressful and call building is a great way to unwind.  The mind really gets into the process.  As a hobby it has all positive aspects.  I make enough money to cover my expenses and buy some materials.  I make less than minimum wage for my time but consider the work worthwhile.  And the real upside is you get to use the best calls you can make for hunting.
Good luck!

He hasn't been on for a few days, since the 16th.  If you need an e-mail let me know.

I'm just basically making sure that both parties are following through here before I unpin the topic.

I spoke to Steve two days ago. He just got back from vacation, and was busy at work, but he did mention that Bow won the auction.

Congratulations to both.  Steve for his generosity and bowjunkie for catching a real bargain.  The final bid is half what Steve charges for a custom setup.
