Are we gonna do this again? Maybe bird sounds and some vocalizations?
JD
Congratulations to all of you. I'm gonna have to get me a mic on my 'puter.........or maybe I'll just get rid of this outdated monster and get a new one.........yeah, that's the ticket. :eyebrownod:
Once I'm able to record a sound, I'll take on anyone for last place........ :yoyo:

Brent
Everyone done a wonderful Job!!!!!
Thanks to all
Maybe next time I will be able to particapate
Al, THANKS for putting this contest together. :congrats: And thanks to the 39 people who took the time to vote. :congrats: Thanks to everyone involved. :congrats: I thought all the calls sounded good, and I'm humbled that some of you liked mine. I don't know what else to say. I used a closed reed production call, a Haydel's BR-84 Baby Rabbit. It's my favorite (so far) close to medium range distress call.

aka, Weedwalker
Thanks to Al and everyone who participated. It was a fun contest.

There were some very good entry's in that little contest. All of those sounds will call coyotes, I think maybe the happy birthday tune would even bring in a couple. Congratulations to you two guys who whipped my arse. A great big Thank You to THO for making the contest possible.
Congratulations to all who entered and to Al, Brent, and BradH for offering prizes.

Who's Ed Lay any way? Hey that rhymes :sneer:
Jim, you know, not everyone wants to share this information. Or were you thinking something else?
No, what you were thinking I was thinking was pretty close to what I was thinking :eyebrownod:
Thank you Al for doing this. It was fun watching and listening to this post.
I was without a doubt the worst that entered and I knew that would probably be the case going in. I have never called predators but try to mimic the sounds a little bit to show people that they can be made with a mouth diaphragm call which is what I used. I was #5 by the way.
Thanks again to everyone who put this on and to those who put up the prizes.
Congrats to everyone. :yoyo: :highclap: :congrats: :yahoo:
Special thank you to Al for putting it on and all the guys giving calls out. Your first class guys. :yoyo:
I got to get a mic as well. Then I can give Bop a run for last next time.
We could all learn something from Blacky's sound clip. He did them with a turkey mouth call. A few companies, Primos for one I know, puts out a diaphram predator call. They are neat to play with and I have used them to coax in coyotes when I had the gun up and the little buggers were hiding behind a bush and I couldn't shoot.
Now if they had been hinding behind a Gore or Kerry - well - I just might have taken that shot anyway :nono:

Congrats to the winners and to all who participated! And especially to Al for making this a fun event! :yoyo:
Maybe next time I'll have the confidence to throw my sound in the hat too. Can't let Bop and Danny fight for last place all by themselves!
Out of all the links in the thread, Sound #16 was the one I cannot and could not open. I get the dreaded "The page cannot be displayed" error. Wonder what's up with that? :wo:
Thanks for the contest. That was fun.
Everyone should feel comfortable participating in these..... heck if I can....anyone can :yoyo:
Congrats to the winners! And a bigs thanks to Al and Brad &Brent. This was a grate idea for the offseason! :congrats:

Hey guys. I was outta town this week, and had very limited access with the hotels Internet. :madd: Thanks everybody who put up sounds, who voted, who is givin out the calls, and Al for puttin it together. Much appreciated to all ! I enjoyed listening to the different sounds and styles. There were allot of good ones. The two sound clips that I put in were #17 & #18. The calls I used were the two "barrel" shaped cocobolo calls that I made, that I posted here a little while back. #17 had a bladed LVDR 002 in it ( thanks for the vote Todd, I kinda liked it too. :eyebrownod: ) #18 has a Kerry Carver tone board in her. :thumb2: As always, anything I post, calls, pictures, sounds, etc. any feedback, advice, likes, dislikes, is welcome and appreciated. Good job everybody :congrats:
