While I was turning this one most of the burl broke out I thought I was throwing another one in the trash after
remembering a few things Al told me and alot of sanding I think I brought this one back to life
Bill,
Looks pretty good. Is the top Walnut or Rosewood? I am thinking Walnut, but it has a little of the Rosewood shades.
Jerry
What ever it was that Al told ya....don't forget it cause that one looks way to good to have almost hit the trash. Great spin Mr. Bill
Looks ok from here
Are you still looking for a signature body style, or winging it?
Jerry The top piece is walnut
Thanks Danny
Jim after a chunk broke out of this maple I got upset and spent more time on the maple and kinda just winged this one out
Great job on that sunburst, Bill! Looks Neat! I know what you mean when one of those inclusions shows up outta nowhere. Great job saving it, it looks great!
Thanks Rain It took me awhile sanding this one but end results made it worth it
Bill,
Some folks look as those as flaws and some look at them as treasures that add character to the call. I for one like those characters in some calls, and ya did a good job of saving it. :congrats:
The only constructive observation I have on this call is that the two woods, dont contrast well together, other then that it looks fine.
I can only imagine what that call would look like in all maple with those characteristics. :shck:
I liked the call and I held it too,it looks good BUT it looks Better when it is in your Hand :congrats:
Bob
I have to agree Todd I also thought a piece of blackwood would look prett snazy sitting on top
Thanks for the kind words Guys
