It is yellow  and I got this wood from Hamer in a wood trade.  The reed is a woodpecker .

Beautiful call Bill.

The set of your calls I bought last week came yesterday.  Very excellent quality all around.  Your photos do not do them justice.  The finish could not be any finer.  The burl wood is really amazing up close.  Excellent construction with the tenon fit of the different woods.   Your sound in the JC reed calls it first class, the little squeaker is a real gem.  Thanks to bowjunkie for buying these calls from Bill then donating them to raise money for the board.
Thank you,
9th

Bill,

That sounds great.  You can teach me the Venus Butterfly, I mean the Bill Woodpecker, at the Trapper's Convention.  [The Venus Butterfly will separate the men from the boys.   ]

Thanks Jerry and Yerry  I can't believe that a feller of your stats Yerry wants to learn from a green horn like me

Jerry Hunsley after sitting in front of the puter and listening to your clip you posted and practicing and listening that was as close as i could get the sound so thanks for the clip  :yoyo:
