Hi guys.....was looking through my horn stash for inspiration....found this piece which was almost Jade green!! I have never seen this greenish hue in cow horn. It was straight enough, so I thought I would see what I could do with it!

The inside of the bell is turned, as is the intake area....it will have a JC sleeve and voice...
I am proud of this little call!!!
Joe
I can see why Looks good from here
That looks neat!! Definitely a call to be proud of Joe!! Is that your new "Greenhorn" style?? :laf: :laf:
Maybe that bull lived out near Area 51? Or near a Nuke plant? Or maybe it's one of them illegal Mexican bulls, fed on Guacamolie, or maybe it's just an Alien bull to begin with.
Never saw a green one before though. Pretty neat.
Al
Joe,
Al might be right, but another possibility is that it is a spring horn. You know how the milk gets tasting when the cows start eating green grass in the spring, not to mention what it does to the other end. Might just be a spring grass eating animal.
All kidding aside, I have not seen that color before.
Jerry
now thats flippin cool man oh man NICE call Joe :yoyo:
Looks good Joe!
I get a few horns of that color but not very often. Most that I go get have a dark green color to them and it gets lighter the closer you get to the tip.
It made a outstanding call!
Brent
