Title: Black Powder Cartridges
Post by: leehop on August 30, 2007, 09:13:56 PM
Does any body hunt big game with the old black powdwer guns? I have two I want to hunt with, a C. Sharps 1895 Mod. .45-70 and a Remington Rolling Block .40-65 custom built by Lone Star Rifle Co., Inc. in Texas. Thy both shoot well if you can hold them up.

That sounds like alot of fun. Those old style rifles are cool. I personally don't get into Black Powder.

Dakota Arms makes a scaled down Sharps rifle that someday I hope to get in some obsolete varmint caliber.  I'd be the Quigley G'hogger then. :laf:

Here's a pix ...

Got any pix of the guns?
